Entoloma decolorans E. Horak 1973

Pileus 6-20 mm diam., hemispherical or convex when young becoming depressed or umbilicate at the centre, margin incurved, deep blue, covered by black or concolorous squamules or fibrils, dry, not striate. Lamellae (L 8-15, 1 1-3) adnexed or adnate, sometimes subdecurrent with short tooth, whitish at first, turning pink, gill edge concolorous and not fimbriate. Stipe 20-50 x 1-3 mm, cylindrical, slender, blue, with white weft of mycelium at the base, glabrous, dry, fistulose. Context blue underneath the cuticle. Odor and taste not distinctive or slightly farinaceous only.
Spores 9-11.5 x 6.5-8 µm, 5-6-sided. Basidia 25-30 x 10 µm, 4-spored. Cheilocystidia consisting of fasciculate chains of cylindrical cells, terminal cells clavate or cylindrical (15-75 x 6-10 µm), pigment absent. Pleuro- and caulocystidia absent. Cuticle a cutis of suberect, fasciculate, cylindrical hyphae (4-10 µm diam.), membrane thin-walled, not gelatinized, with grey, plasmatic pigment. Clamp connections absent.
On soil in forests (under Nothofagus spp., Podocarpus spp., Dacrydium cupressinum). New Zealand.
Pileo 6-20 mm lato, hemisphaerico deinde umbilicato, coeruleo, squamis vel fibrillis atris instructo, sicco, haud striato. Lamellis ex adnato adnexis, primo isabellinis postea roseis, acie concolori integraque instructis. Stipite 20-50 x 1-3 mm, cylindraceo, coeruleo, mycelio albo ad basim obtecto, glabro, sicco, fistuloso. Odore saporeque nullo. Sporis 9-11 x 6.5-8 µm, 5-6-angulatis. Basidiis 4-sporigeriis. Cheilocystidiis conspicuis, cellulis terminalibus clavatis (15-75 x 6-10 µm), haud coloratis. Epicute ex hyphis cylindraceis et suberectis cutem formantibus, pigmento griseo plasmaticoque instructis. Septis defibulatis. Ad terram in silvis. Novazelandia.
