Radical lvs rosulate, on stout ± flattened petioles ± 2-4 cm. long; sheath broad, membr., us. pilose. Lamina ± broad ovate to rotund in outline, 1-2 cm. diam.; ± deeply 3-partite; lobes again 3-5-lobed or crenately toothed. Cauline lvs smaller, opp. or clustered. Scape or peduncle 1-3 cm. long. Fls up to 1 cm. diam.; sepals ± 2 mm. long, ovate; petals bright yellow, ± 4 mm. long, narrow obovate, rounded at apex; gland 1 basal. Fruiting heads globose ± 5 mm. diam.; receptacle minute, papillose, ± 2 mm. long. Achenes few, ± turgid, glab., ± 2 mm. long, finely margined; style c. 1 mm. long, slender, subulate, hooked.
