Associated with plant roots, mycorrhizal; apothecia discoid, stipitate; ectal excipulum of textura prismatica, with or without short hyphal protrusions on receptacle surface; medullary excipulum of textura intricata; asci inoperculate, 8-spored, cylindric-clavate, J+ in Melzer's reagent; ascospores ellipsoid to elongate-ellipsoid, unicellular; paraphyses filiform.
