Descriptions
Aecidium disseminatum Berk. 1867
The following species and form-species have been recorded as occurring in New Zealand, but, as I have not seen specimens, I am unable to give descriptions; moreover, as in most instances the published descriptions are so fragmentary as to be useless for comparative purposes, I have not included them here.
(f) Aecidium dissimenatum Berk., Hdbk. Fl. N.Z., p. 756, 1867.
Host: Hypericum japonicum Thumb. McAlpine (1906, p. 200) records this rust as occurring in Australia on the same host.

Aecidium disseminatum Berk. 1867
An endemic species recorded by Cunningham (1928) on subalpine endemic species of Hebe from the South Island; he stated that unlike Aecidium disciforme the mycelium of the rust is not systemic.
