Linochora aberrans Syd. 1924

Type: Foliicolous Fungi; Description: Conidiomata stromatic, pycnidial, 1–3-loculate, densely aggregated, often with confluent walls, subepidermal, immersed, globose to depressed globose, brown, 0.1–0.2 mm in diameter; on circular to irregular, pale yellow brown leaf spots with a raised ochraceous brown margin, 4–10 mm in diameter. Conidia filiform, straight or slightly curved, 2–6-septate, 40–55 × 2–3 μm, smooth, hyaline.
Distribution: Dunedin.; 1st Record: Sydow (1924).
Significance: None.; Host(s): Pachystegia insignis.

Maculae epiphyllae, orbiculares vel irregulares, haud raro confluentes, 4-10 mm diam., pallidae, linea elevata ochracea vel brunneo-ochracea cinctae; stromata epiphylla, dense disposita et saepe confluentea, subepidermide nidulantia ab eaque semper tecta, phyllachoroidea, 1-3-locularia, clypeo epidermal proprio nullo; loculi e mutua pressione irregulares, 150-200 µ diam., pariete ca. 20 µ crasso fibroso-celluloso ex hyphis olivaceo-brunneolis vel havidis parallele positis composito; conidia filiformia, plerumque utrinque leniter attenuata, sed apicibus rotundatis, 2-6-septata, non constricta, guttulata, hyalina, rectiuscula vel saepissime geniculata, 40-55 x 2-2 1/2 µ.
Eine sehr interessante Form, die ich zu Linochora bringe, obwohl die Stromata keinen typisch epidermalen Klypeus ausbilden, dock rind sie mit dem Scheitel der Epidermis tief eingewachsen. Da im tibrigen die Gehause im Baue der Membran grosse Ubereinstimmung mit dem gewohnlichen Phyllachora-Typus zeigen, so findet der Pilz wohl bei Linochora am besten seine Einreihung. Vermischt mit der Conidien führenden Stromata finden sich ganz junge Lokuli der dazugehöerigen Schlauchform vor.
