Didymella curtisii (Berk.) Q. Chen & L. Cai 2015

Notes

This species was recombined into Peyronellaea by Aveskamp et al. (2010) as Peyronellaea curtisii, and herein we treat it as a new combination in Didymella. The two isolates have two and ﬁve bp differences in ITS and tub2 respectively, and thus may not be conspeciﬁc. Since the type material was not obtained, its taxonomy awaits future study.

Stagonospora curtisii (Berk.) Sacc. 1884

Pathogenicity

Leaf scorch on daffodils is common especially in the North Island where spring is warm and humid. Lesions on flowers sometimes occur. In some seasons it may be troublesome, especially where bulbs are grown for cut flowers.
