Clavomphalia E. Horak 1987

Morphologically this new genus Clavomphalia is well characterized by the following features: tough omphalinoid carpophores with blue to purple color, pink to porphyry brown, arcuate lamellae, subcylindric, hyaline, inamyloid spores, conspicuous, thick-walled, hyaline, cylindrical to club-shaped cheilo- and pleurocystidia with both encrusting and intercellular green pigment (KOH), and no clamp connection. Due to these characters, Clavomphalia has a rather isolated taxonomic position within the omphalinoid Agaricales (Clemencon, 1982). In addition, this striking new taxon resembles several species of Trogia ss. Corner (1966) described from the Far East
