taxonomic status
The recognition of Porotheleaceae for the /hydropid is based on sequence data for a number of collections named P. fimbriatum, but this requires confirmation. The connection of Porothelium to Meripilus is pre-molecular morphology based and unlikley. No other family level candidate names exist, to my knowledge (Trogiaceae is invalid). [JAC]
