Notes: An epitype was needed to establish an anamorph for P. vilior and to determine its phylogenetic placement. The epitype was selected based on the relatively proximity to the collecting site of the holotype. The application of the name is restricted to species of Pseudocosmospora on Eutypella from South America that have pale-luteous colonies on PDA. However, it is recognized here that P. vilior consists of a species complex.
