Cyclomyces Kunze ex Fr. 1830

Superficially very similar to Inonotus with brown, thin, bracket-like, poroid fruiting bodies, but fruiting bodies of Cyclomyces are much thinner and more flexible than those of Inonotus.

A single common species in New Zealand.

Polypore fungi with a thin, imbricate, bracket-like fruiting bodies on fallen wood. Causing a white rot. The only New Zealand species, C. tabacinus, is common on a range of native and exotic hosts.
