Description

Pileus 2-3 mm diam., shell pink, hemispherical with or without a minute sharp umbo, velvety floccose. Gills few, adnate, pink. Stipe 15 x 0.5 mm, pink. Spores 5 x 2-5 µm, amyloid. Hyphae of tissue with clamp connections, some thick-walled, some up to 10 µm diam. Cuticle of amyloid to slightly pseudo-amyloid, more or less parallel hyphae and hyphal endings.

Inserted on fallen dead leaves of Nothofagus cliffortioides, Arthur's Pass, 7.6.1954, Ruth Mason in Stevenson (type).

Latin

Pileus 2-3 mm diam., pallide roseus, hemisphaericus, interdum umbone acuto minuto auctus, velutino-floccosus. Lamellas paucae, adnatae, puniceae. Stipes 15 x 0.5 mm, puniceus. Sporae 5 x 2-5 µm, amyloideae. Hyphae texturae fibulatae, nonnullae cum parietibus crassis, nonnullae usque 10 µm diam. Cuticula ex hyphis amyloideis vel leviter pseudo-amyloideis plus minus parallelis et terminationibus hypharum sistens.
