Collybia subclusilis Stevenson (29 D) Fig. 25 = Marasmius oreades (Fries) Earle
Spores almond-shaped to sublimoniform, hyaline, neither amyloid nor dextrinoid, smooth, 8-11.5 X 4.5-5.5 µ. This species was probably introduced with seeds (see habitat) and has to be regarded as a synonym of M. oreades.

Pileus 3-3.5 µm diam., ochraceous buff, hygrophanous, indistinctly striate at margin, matt; flesh concolorous. Gills adnexed to adnate, seceding, creamy, rather distant. Stipe 4-5 cm x 4-5 mm, ochraceous buff, velvety, hollow, tough, equal, rooting at base. Spores 10-11 x 5 µm, non-amyloid, thin-walled, hyaline (Fig. 19). Cuticle of hyphae of large diam., closely woven.
In rough grass, Karori, 15.10.1948, Stevenson (type).
Pileus 3-3.5 µm diam., ochraceo-bubalinus, hygrophanus, margine indistincte striatus, haud lucens; carne concolori. Lamellae adnexae usque adnatae, secendentes, cremeae, subdistantes. Stipes 4-3 cm x 4-5 mm, ochraceo-bubalinus, velutinus, cavus, tenax, aequalis, basi radicante. Sporae 10-11 x 5 µm, haud amyloideae, parietibus tenuibus, hyalinae. Cuticula ex hyphis diametro magnis arcte intertextis sistens.
