Arachnopeziza Fuckel 1870 [1869-70]

Notes

There are several undescribed leaf-inhabiting Arachnopeziza species in New Zealand (see ITS tree in images), known from rather few specimens and not yet characterised morphologically. These have been collected from Phormium, Juncus, and Dianella leaves. There are also several Arachnopeziza araneosa-like taxa, see NZFUNGI description under this species. The sister species ICMP 15322 was identified as Clathrosphaerina zalewskii based on morphology; the Hyaloscypha name attached to this specimen is based on the putative anamorph/teleomorph link for Clathrosphaerina.
