Xanthomonas citri pv. mangiferaeindicae (as Xanthomonas campestris pv. mangiferaeindicae) was erroneously recorded as present in New Zealand based on two ICMP cultures (ICMP 9165 and ICMP 9166) collected in Auckland in 1986. These cultures were re-identified as Xanthomonas arboricola in June 2020 using DNA sequences. [BSW, June 2020]
