A review of the scientific literature, culture collection data and analysis of DNA sequences deposited in the NCBI GenBank confirm that X. bromi is present in New Zealand. There are six isolates in the ICMP collection that were collected in either 1978 or 1981 from Bromus marginatus and B. wildenowii and were originally identified as X. campestris pv. graminis. Re-analysis of these isolates has determined that their correct name is X. bromi. These isolates are not legally new organisms as they were present in New Zealand prior to 1996 but have not been recorded in the MPI Plant Pest Information Network (PPIN). [MPI 2015]
