![ITS sequences from PDD 121211 and PDD 121212 identify these specimens as Pseudomitrula sp. An unnamed species, phylogenetically distinct from three South American species with sequences in GenBank, and morphologically distinct from the species described by Irma Gamundi in 1980. See images and notes under PDD 121211. Several other PDD specimens originally identified as Microglossum sp. match PDD 121211 morphologically.
