Culms (15)-25-50-(70)cm long. Panicle c. 10-25 cm long, usually open with spreading branches, sometimes contracted. Spikelets (3)-4- 7.5 mm long, (2)-3-5-(8)-flowered. Lower glume (2)-2.5-3.5-(4.5) mm long, 3-nerved. Lemma 5-7- nerved, acute to subobtuse, internerves finely scaberulous throughout, occasionally only minutely papillose. Anthers 1.5-2.5 mm long. Caryopsis c. 2 × 0.5 mm. Endemic
