Crinipellis novae-zelandiae G. Stev. 1964

Pileus 4-7.5 cm diam., fuscous to dark reddish fuscous, plano-convex with down-rolled margin, with or without a central umbo, finely fibrillose with a broken line of long pale coloured fibrils near the margin; flesh vinaceous fawn, tough. Gills sinuately adnexed, pale vinaceous fawn, thin, rather crowded, margins minutely serrulate. Stipe 4 x 0.5 cm, vinaceous fawn covered thickly, except immediately below gills, with fuscous to reddish fuscous, fibrillose scales. Spores 5-6 x 3 µm, non-amyloid, hyaline; print white. Gill margins sterile with balloon cystidia or woven hyphae. Cuticle and stipe fibrils of pseudo-amyloid hyphae, 5-8 µm diam., with clamp connections, some with irregularly thickened walls (Fig. 2/35, P-37).

Pileus 4-7.5 cm diam., fuscus usque atro-rubido-fuscus, plano-convexus, margine deorsum revoluto, umbone centrali nonnunquam praeditus, tenuiter fibrillosus, prope marginem linea interrupta fibrillarum longarum pallidarum instructus; caro vinaceo-hinnulea, tenax. Lamellae sinuato-adnexae, pallide vinaceo-hinnuleae; tenues, modice confertae, marginibus minute serrulatis. Stipes 4 x 0.5 cm, vinaceo-hinnuleus, squamis fibrillosis fuscis usque rubido-fuscis stratum crassum nisi sub ipsas lamellas efformantibus obtectus. Sporae 5-6 x 3 µm, haud amyloideae, hyalinae, in cumulo albae. Lamellarum margines steriles, cystidiis vesiculosis vel hyphis intertextis praediti. Cuticula et stipitis fibrillae ex hyphis pseudo-amyloideis 5-8 µm diam. fibulatis nonnullis cum parietibus irregulariter incrassatis sistentes.
