Pileus 5-10 mm diam., pale greyish fawn, striate at margin, hemispherical, viscid, drying subfibrillose; flesh thin, whitish, fragile. Gills adnate to strongly decurrent, whitish, moderately crowded, long and short intercalated, margins gelatinized. Stipe 3-6 cm. x 1-2 mm, yellow, very viscid, hollow, fragile, swollen at base which usually has spreading hyphal hairs. Spores 9 - 10 x 5 – 6 cm, amyloid. Hymenophoral trama and tissue of Pileus pseudoamyloid. Cuticle somewhat gelatinized with narrow, non-amyloid, branched hyphal endings (Fig. 55).
Singly and in groups on standing or fallen, timber, Tararuas, Levin, 15.5.1948, Leith Saddle, Dunedin, 23.3.1953 (type); & Rotoiti, Nelson, 21.4.1954; all Stevenson.
Pileus 5-10 mm diam., pallide griseo-hinnuleus, margine striatus, hemisphaericus, viscidus, siccitate subfibrillosus; caro tenuis, albida, fragilis. Lamellae adnatae usque valde decurrentes, albidae, modice confertae, longiores cum breviores intercalatae, marginibus gelatinatis. Stipes 3-6 cm x 1-2 mm, luteus, valde viscidus, cavus, fragilis, basi tumida plerumque pilis hyphalibus patentibus instructa. Sporae 9-10 x 3-6 µm, amyloideae. Trama hymenophoralis et pilei textura pseudo-amyloidea. Cuticula sub-gelatinata, terminationibus hyphalibus angustis haud amyloideis.
