Notes

No living type material could be located for this species to determine its phylogenetic placement in this study. This species is morphologically very distinct, having tightly curled or tightly reniform conidia (McKenzie 1991, Wang et al. 2015) and its placement in the genus Stachybotrys is probably incorrect but needs to be confirmed experimentally.
