Political Region
Record based on Roy Halling specimen 9728 (PDD 102880) collected from uner Eucalyptus in Te Anau, identified by Mike Castellano. However the sequence is not the same as Australian collections with Eucalypts and neither probably the same as true (unsequenced) H. gardneri which was described under Pinus radiata from the Berkeley Campus, California. Zeller & Dodge, 1929, report an association with Eucalyptus, but probably in error. [JAC]
