taxonomic status
A Gram-positive, facultatively anaerobic rod with spore-like bodies, this was not a pseudomonad. It was said to infect seed of Pisum sativum and Vicia faba producing brown areas in the centres of cotyledons. Germination was reduced and plants showed poor colour and brown streaks at the time of flowering. The symptoms sound like a combination of diseases. There have been no reports for many years and the name is no longer used.
