Spots circular, 2-4 mm in diameter, centre white, margin raised, brown to black, surrounded by a brown, discolored area. Perithecia epiphyllous, 45-100 µ, immersed; ostiole distinct. Asci clavate, somethimes irregular and curved, 40-55 µ by 18 µ. Spores hyaline, 1-septate, 20-25 µ by 3-6 µ, tapering towards one end.
