Descriptions
Ecology and distrbution. This fungus is so far known only of an isoate from dead stems of medicago polymorpha in New Zealand. It may be a common saprophyte in Australasia. The aurea epithet refers to the golden-coloured colonies on MA.
Ecology and Distribution. A common specific pathogen of New Zealand flax, Phormium tenax, causing red-encircled ('haematocycla') spots on the leaves: Leaf Spot. The type material of P. haematocycla could not be found. To fix the identity of the species a dried culture of the isolate studied has been indicated as neotype.
Ecology and Distrbution: This fungus with yellow-brown pycnidia has been found on and isolated from dead tissue of different Senecio spp. It probably occurs whereever the host are growing. It seems to be a saprophyte or necrophyte with a specific host relation.
