Notes: The multigene phylogenetic analysis of ITS, LSU and TEF1-α sequence data (Fig. 175) indicate that S. manicata was clearly distinguishable from other Saproamanita species forming a monophyletic clade with 100% MLBS, 1.00 BYPP support. It formed a sister taxon to S. favofoccosa and S. foetidissima with 88% MLBS, 0.98 BYPP support. Saproamanita favofoccosa (Fig. 174) can be distinguished from S. manicata by its subglobose to broadly ellipsoid basidiospores (6.5–13×5.5–9 µm, Qm =1) (Purushothama and Natarajan 1987; Senthilarasu 2014). Saproamanita foetidissima has broadly ellipsoid to ellipsoid basidiospores (8–11.5×7–9 µm, Qm =1) which is quite different from S. manicata (Reid and Eicker 1991).
