The genus Conopomorpha Meyrick 1885 and the species Conopomorpha cyanospila Meyrick 1885 were described briefly in New Zealand Journal of Science 2: 589-592 (1885). They were described more fully in Transactions and Proceedings of the New Zealand Institute for the year 1885 as n. g. and n. sp., but that was published in 1886: Transactions and Proceedings of the New Zealand Institue18: 162-183 (1886).
