Suetrong et al. (2014) introduced Wiesneriomycetaceae but it is invalid (Art. 42.1) as the identifier cited in the protologue, (i.e. MB809097), was not issued for the name published but for Hypogymnia papilliformis McCune, Tchabanenko & X.L. Wei 2015. A new identifier was obtained (i.e. IF550306).
