The name Enteromorpha crassimembrana V.J.Chapm. (1956) was not recognised for New Zealand by Nelson et al. (2019), and neither was the synonym [Ulva crassimembrana (V.J.Chapm.) H.S.Hayden, Blomster, Maggs, P.C.Silva, Stanhope & Waaland (2003)] accepted byAlgaebase.org (July 2023), so the current name in New Zealand for the entity described by Chapman (1956) had not been determined.
