Inflorescence solitary, terminal; scape ± = leaves. Spathe funnel-shaped, white, yellow or rarely red. Spadix with basal female zone contiguous with upper longer male zone; sterile terminal appendage 0. Berries green or orange, few- to many-seeded. Spp. 6, of tropical and S. Africa. Adventive sp. 1.
