David Glenny: Lepidozia filamentosa. This species is listed in Hamlin (1972) in Part II but not Part I. The record’s origin is D’Urville (1845: 246: “hab. in insulis Auckland et strato Magellanico à cl. Hombron lecta”) and is cited in Hooker (1854–5) who says “A NW American and Fuegian plant, of which I have seen no N.Z. specimen”. Engel (1978: 101) rejected it from the Brunswick Peninsula Flora. Engel and Schuster (2001) do not mention it.
