taxonomic status
The synonymy of Clitocella with Lulesia is based on some sequenced collections of the type species L. densifolia. The species was described from Argentina. The currently sequenced collections are from Australia and the Dominican Republic. They appear to represent different species and there is no published confirmation that either represents true L. densifolia, which morphologically could also be a Clitopilus. [JAC Jan 2024]
