The name Enteromorpha bulbosa f. cornucopiae V.J.Chapm. (1956) has a New Zealand type in CHR, but the name was not recognised for New Zealand by Nelson et al. (2019), and neither were the synonyms [Enteromorpha bulbosa (Suhr) Mont. (1843) or Ulva hookeriana (Kutz.) H.S.Hayden, Blomster, Maggs, P.C.Silva, Stanhope & Waaland (2003)], accepted by Algaebase.org (July 2023), so the current name in New Zealand for the entity described by Chapman (1956) had not been determined.
