Etymology

The species name is based on the biotic region of some of the type material, Mackenzie.

NEW ZEALAND: Mackenzie: ♂ (NZAC), aedeagus dissected and mounted in balsam on a clear plastic card, “New Zealand MK Hooker Valley Mt Cook NP 14-Apr-06”, “HOLOTYPE Sagola mackenziensis Park and Carlton 2013”.
