Pleuridium nervosum (Hook.) Trevis., Herb. Crypt. Trevis. 2:27 (1853) is widely accepted online in all sources that derive from Tropicos as the correct name. However, Trevisan de Saint-Léon's1853 Herbarium Cryptogamicum Trevisanianum 2 has not been found online. There are many combinations made in this publicaiton, though, that are accepted in both moss and liverwort literature. Klazenga, N. (4 May 2024), AusMoss: Census of Australian bryophytes, still acepted the combination by Mitten.
