Descriptions
Galerina marginata sensu E. Horak 1971
Unfortunately no material of this species exists, but it is very likely that the agaric described under this name is conspecific with an annulate Galerina which grows everywhere in New Zealand.

Notes
taxonomic status
[Horak] No N.Z. material of Galerina marginata found, but description fits an annulate Galerina sp. common throughout N.Z., fide Horak 1971b, p. 434. N.Z. material labelled as Naucoria nasuta (Colenso 676) and Pholiota unicolor (Berggren 70) both = Galerina patagonica, fide Horak 1983a, p. 26. [JAC] in fact there are two similar species in NZ and it remains to be proven either of them is G. patagonica ss.
