editorial
Renner (2018) said "Plagiochila deltoidea var. densa was described for plants with smaller median leaf cells and densely areolate leaves, but these characters are variable within the P. deltoidea complex, particularly leaf cell size." However, it was recognised in the 2020 New Zealand Threatened Liverworts and Hornworts list.
