Nye & Fletcher (1991) stated:- An unjustified emendation of Taleporia Hübner, [1825]. The "Index universalis" was published as fascicle 12 of the Nomencl. zool.; Talaeporia is dated from the wrapper of fascicle 12, not from its title-page which is dated 1846.
