Buellia demutans, B. tetrapla, and Laurera cumingii (now as Marcelaria cummingii) were listed in Galloway (2007) but specimens cannot be found to support these records. For now they are excluded here from the lichenised mycobiota of New Zealand. Furthermore, the habitat descriptions in Galloway (2007) do not match the known habitats of these taxa in Australia (J. Elix unpubl. data.).
