Type: New Zealand: Westland, Newton Range, Mt Brown, 1122 m, 171.201°E 42.869°S, growing through Sphagnum cristatum, in sloping bog of Chionochloa rubra + Juncus effusus / Oreobolus pectinatus + Sphagnum cristatum + S. falcatulum, with Lichenomphalia umbellifera, Celmisia glandulosa, Pleurophascum
ovalifolium, and Drosera arcturi, 10 Jan 2024, D. Glenny 15670. Plants male. Holotype: CHR 691238; isotypes: AK, F, HO.
