One specimen, J.A. Elix 7828, CANB 809151.1, is recorded from Pipikaretu Beach, Otago Peninsula. On volcanic bluff. Contains: salazinic acid, atranorin.(https://avh.ala.org.au/occurrences/df6e57c9-a43b-442f-8a13-d817731c100c). No mention has been found of this for New Zealand in literature, so it is currently being regarded cautiously, and the biostatus for this taxon will be recorded as absent.
