The name Pterocladiastrum robustum Akatsuka (1986) has a New Zealand type in CHR, but the name was not recognised for New Zealand by Nelson et al. (2019), and neither was the synonym, Pterocladia lucida (R.Brown ex Turner) J.Agardh that is accepted by Algaebase.org (July 2023), so the current name in New Zealand for the entity described by Akatsuka (1986) has not been determined. Pterocladia lucida has an Australian type.
