Publication for the combination is possibly Standard-Sp. Nomina Conservanda: 54 (1926) The combination Iochroma cyaneum appears to be interpreted in different ways. It was obviously first made in 1926, but maybe this was not regarded as legitimate, as it was then made in 1930 (Internat. Bot. Congr. Cambr. 1930: Nomencl. Proposals Brit. Botanists, 107,No. 7382 (1929) in Internat. Bot. Congr. Cambr.), and one source regards the legitmate combination to be in Baileya 3: 66. 1955!
