Click to collapse Notes Info

taxonomic status
Garnock-Jones and Malcolm 2001 did not consider Cunningham's statement on Colenso 80 "no spores exist, the [lepidopteran] egg-cases being waxy amorphous bodies without determinate structure". However, a fungus fitting the description does exist. In adittion, Cook's original name was not a later homonym, thus the correct name should be Badimiella filicola, if the interpretation of placement in Badimiella is correct [JAC]
