Tortula maritima (R.Br.bis) R.H.Zander, is illegitimate as Tortula maritima J.Hardy is an earlier name. The older "blocking" name, makes the New Zealand name illegitimate, is now synonymised with Hennediella heimii, which is also in NZ, hence this name in the database for New Zealand flora names.
