In a paper by Serjeant et al. 2008 Candida oleophila is listed in a BLAST result match for isolate K1, however the ITS sequence (EF620028) also matches that of Candida railenensis. The 28S sequence (EU302821) of isolate K1 is more closely related to that of the type of Candida railenensis. [BSW 2018]
