Maculis epiphyllis, pallidis, orbicularibus, late fusco-cinctis. Peritheciis minutis, immersis, membranaceis, globoso-depressis, perforatis. Ascis clavatis, octosporis. Sporidiis cylindraceo-ellipticis, utrinque rotundatis, uniseptatis, vix constrictis (18-20 x 4µ).
On living leaves of Aristotelia racemosa. New Zealand (Colenso, 116).
[Notes from Kew Type specimen, PRJ 2010] Mycosphaerella-like perithecia within small, round, pale brown spots on living leaves, which often turn into shot hole symptoms. Aptroot annotated in 2001; "Mycosphaerella section Playa aristoteliae comb. Ined."
