Stylospores; cylindrical, slightly curved, almost linear (10 x 1 µ), hyaline.

This condition would fall into the Leptostromacece perhaps as a species of Leptothyrium rather than Melasmia, to either of which it is allied.

Common on various coriaceous leaves, such as Panax, Knightia, &c. New Zealand (Colenso).
