taxonomic status
Johnston et al. (2010) reported on ITS sequence from the ex-type culture CBS 112.43 to be a Paecilomyces sp., but Utereiner et al. (2019) resequenced this CBS culture and found it to be a Neobulgaria sp., that they described as N. koningiana.
