taxonomic status
Yamada 1999 (Haussknechtia Beiheft 9: 391-397, not seen) made R. multiamentula a synonym of R. scariosa Mitt., whose type is from Fiji. As R. multiamentula is present in New Zealand from Stewart Island, Fiordland, Westland, and Western Nelson but not further north this synonymy seems unlikely to be true. (Glenny, 2006, unpublished)
