Fife (2015, [Fl. New Zealand mosses fasc. 15]) did not mention Dicranum walkeri R.Br.bis in his treatment of Blindia, but Dixon (1914) placed D. walkeri in synonymy with B. tenuifolia, which Fife regarded as a synonym of B. robusta.
